Overview of APhA NPN and APhA-ASP

APhA New Practitioner Network (APhA NPN)

Provides programs, products, leadership opportunities, career development and services to assist members in making the transition from student to new practitioner. The New Practitioner designation is for pharmacists in their first five years after graduation, regardless of practice setting. Reduced APhA dues are provided during these first five years after graduation.

APhA Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP)

The Association’s official sub-organization for student pharmacist members at the schools and colleges of pharmacy around the United States and Puerto Rico. APhA’s Student Development Program operates similar to a franchise business model. Members of the APhA-ASP National Executive Committee and Student & New Practitioner Development Staff train our national, regional, and chapter leaders to recruit/retain members and administer member benefits through a series of membership, leadership, and professional development workshops at the APhA Annual Meeting, APhA-ASP Midyear Regional Meetings, APhA-ASP Summer Leadership Institute, and the APhA-ASP Student Outreach Program. National patient care projects, webinars, programs, flyers, brochures, posters, promotions are created by APhA, and delivered to the chapters for implementation.
